Quality Assurance Audits: On-site inspection of the partner's manufacturing facilities to ensure all exported goods meet strict Ethiopian building and safety codes. Logistics Integration: Establishing a direct pipeline from the overseas factory floor to our logistics fleet at Modjo Dry Port.

Problem

Ethiopian developers and contractors constantly battle material scarcity, extreme local price fluctuations, and the risk of counterfeit or substandard goods. When companies buy from local micro-vendors, they absorb massive markups and have zero visibility into where or how the materials were actually made.

Factory-Direct Contracting: We negotiated and signed binding, direct-supply contracts with the manufacturers themselves, locking in transparent pricing and guaranteed monthly container volumes.
Seamless Transit: With the contract signed, our in-house logistics team immediately takes over the Letters of Credit (LC) and freight documentation, ensuring the materials ship without third-party transit delays.

Cost Reduction: By eliminating the local broker fees and third-party importer margins, we significantly lower the baseline material costs for our internal General Contracting division and our wholesale clients. Guaranteed Authenticity: Buying directly from the factory floor means 100% guarantee on material grade, structural integrity, and electronic safety. Supply Chain Immunity: While other local contractors halt work waiting for local markets to restock, DS General PLC maintains a continuous, uninterrupted flow of materials directly from our overseas partners.
